Department of Pharmacology

Pharmacology is a multidisciplinary branch of medicine that studies drugs and their effect on biological systems in living organisms. At the University of Maryland School of Medicine, the Department of Pharmacology is comprised of nationally and internationally renowned leaders in the fields of neuropharmacology and oncopharmacology making great strides in discovering and implementing novel therapies and therapeutics.

Our faculty, fellows, students, and staff work together to nurture a diverse, collaborative, and innovative research environment focused on advancing the current understanding of brain development, cancer biology and disease mechanisms.
